Personal Dictionary

Personal Dictionary

The VoxAction personal dictionary helps the transcription service spell important terms correctly. It is useful for names, acronyms, company names, product names, technical identifiers, and industry jargon.

Why Use the Dictionary

Speech-to-text systems can struggle with uncommon or domain-specific terms such as:

  • personal names,
  • company names,
  • product names,
  • acronyms,
  • technical terms,
  • industry vocabulary,
  • place names,
  • internal project names,
  • SKUs and identifiers.

Adding these terms gives VoxAction extra context when building the transcription, translation, or AI editing request.

Add an Entry

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Dictionary.
  3. Turn on Enable dictionary.
  4. Click the add button.
  5. Type a word or expression.
  6. Make sure the entry is enabled.
  7. Click Apply or OK.

Examples:

  • Nurgo Software
  • VoxAction
  • AquaSnap
  • TidyTabs
  • OAuth
  • SKU-42
  • customer_success

Entry Limits

VoxAction supports up to 20 dictionary entries.

Each entry is limited to 64 characters. Supported characters include letters, numbers, spaces, hyphen, period, underscore, dollar sign, at sign, and exclamation mark.

Empty entries and duplicate entries are cleaned up automatically.

Disable or Remove an Entry

Use the checkbox to disable an entry without deleting it. This is useful for terms that apply only to one project, customer, or workflow.

Use the remove button to delete an entry.

Privacy Note

When the dictionary is enabled, VoxAction sends enabled entries as a glossary prompt to the configured AI service. Do not add passwords, private keys, access tokens, or confidential identifiers unless your chosen service is appropriate for that data.
