Blacklisting applications from TidyTabs
Here is how to exclude an application from TidyTabs:
Method 1: With the context menu
- Right-click on one of the tabs of the program that you want add to the exclusion list.
- Choose Add '<your application>' to the blacklist in the context menu.
- Your application is now blacklisted and TidyTabs will not display tabs on its windows.
Method 2: With the configuration dialog (advanced)
- Double-click on the TidyTabs tray icon, at the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Go to the EXCEPTIONS tab.
- Click on the Add button in the Blacklist section.
- A Rule Editor dialog will open, allowing you to specify a rule to match the window you want to add.
- Fill in the fields as needed:
- Fill in the properties of the window you want to match, or leave them empty to ignore them.
- You can also use to window picker button to copy the properties of a window by dragging the crosshair icon over it.
- Chose the comparison operator to use for each property.
- Click on the OK button to save the rule.
- The new rule will be added to the blacklist and TidyTabs will not display tabs on the windows that match this rule. You can edit or delete it later if needed.
