TidyTabs Configuration > Hotkeys

All the features of TidyTabs are accessible through easy-to-remember and customizable keyboard shortcuts. To access the Hotkeys configuration screen, double-click on the TidyTabs tray icon, at the bottom-right corner of the screen, and click on HOTKEYS.

Note: Keyboard shortcuts are only available in the Professional Edition of TidyTabs.

The HOTKEYS tab

  • Enable keyboard shortcuts: this checkbox allows you to enable or disable all keyboard shortcuts.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: this section lists all the available keyboard shortcuts.

How to modify a keyboard shortcut

  1. Double-click on the keyboard shortcut you want to modify in the list.
  2. A popup dialog will appear, allowing you to enter a new key combination.
  3. Press Enter to save the new shortcut or Esc to cancel the changes.

Tip: If you want to remove a keyboard shortcut, select it in the list and press the Delete key on your keyboard.


Default keyboard shortcuts

  • Select previous tab: Ctrl+Win+PgUp
  • Select next tab: Ctrl+Win+PgDown
  • Select first tab: Ctrl+Win+Home
  • Select last tab: Ctrl+Win+End
  • Rename current tab: Win+F2
  • Create new tab: Ctrl+Win+T
  • Add ungrouped windows from this application: Ctrl+Win++
  • Add all windows from this application: Shift+Ctrl+Win++
  • Close current tab: Ctrl+Win+W
  • Close other tabs: Ctrl+Win+Alt+W
  • Close all tabs: Shift+Ctrl+Win+W
  • Close all tabs from this application: shift+Ctrl+Win+Alt+W
  • Move tab left: Ctrl+Win+Alt+PgUp
  • Move tab right: Ctrl+Win+Alt+PgDown
  • Ungroup current tab: Ctrl+Win+-
  • Ungroup all tabs: Shift+Ctrl+Win+-
  • Extract current application: Ctrl+Win+/
  • Split group by applications: Shift+Ctrl+Win+/
  • Don't sort tabs: Not assigned
  • Sort tabs by creation time: Not assigned
  • Sort tabs by grouping time: Not assigned
  • Sort tabs by application: Not assigned
  • Sort tabs by title: Not assigned
  • Sort tabs by inclusion rule: Not assigned
  • Sort tabs by ascending order: Not assigned
